Nature is an amazing inspiration for decorating, Fall is no exception.

Shades of pumpkin orange, golden yellow, apple orchard red, chocolate brown, shades of rust and cayenne pepper and deep wine hues can help bring Autumn into your home. It does not have to be overwhelming, but a burnt orange cushion on your front entrance bench can make that space warm and inviting. Autumn earth tones layered in with some neutrals helps bring the outdoors inside in a subtle way.

Velvet is not only showing its face in fashion, but is adding beautiful texture to decorating as well. Velvet adds luxury and drama to a space. Wool carpets and cozy textured throws and blankets in autumnal shades add instant warmth and texture to a room. Paisley prints and patterns are back in style and can make a statement in a bedroom on a headboard or bedding. A lampshade in an autumn hue is an affordable easy way to add a punch of colour to a room. Your cool grey family room can look comforting and warm with the depth of saffron yellow pillows added to the couch.

Floral arrangements and centrepieces for your table or fireplace mantle with bronze and copper hues and burnt oranges and reds help make a room pop. A rich linen tablecloth can add colour to your dining room.

Now, get that apple pie or a batch of pumpkin muffins in the oven and your home will smell as inviting as it looks!
